Please help the State’s ConnectMaine Authority and the Maine Broadband Coalition (MBC) better assess areas for wired access to the internet and specifically Broadband speeds/capacity. This initiative seeks to challenge FCC’s inaccurate mapping data for Broadband. Many rural areas of Maine are "Unserved" by Broadband but the FCC maps do not show that fact.
- If you have wired Internet access at
home or a standalone business - take the test linked below.
- If you do NOT have Internet access at a residence or
standalone business you can get on the website from
anywhere and fill out the information related to your
specific address. Simply answer the questions you’ll find
there for that address, noting that there is no wired
service (if that is the case).
To qualify for State and/or Federal matching
funds, roads must have wired service below 25/3 or 100/100
(new Maine guidance) to qualify. Please help to
challenge those maps and qualify for State and Federal Grant
funding by taking a
www.mainebroadbandcoalition.org speed test today. If you do NOT have wired service, please take the test and
annotate your lack of wired service in the form provided
Thanks in advance!
