PORTLAND -- Robert Ferrelli, 76, of Portland, died on March 10, 2012 at Maine Medical Center with his loving family by his side. He was born in Biddeford on March 27, 1935, the son of Joseph and Alice Rounds Ferrelli. Bob was raised in Scarborough by his grandparents, Harry E. and Lillian Rounds, and attended Scarborough Schools.
He married Priscilla E. Nida on March 17, 1954. Bob worked over 20 years as the sexton of the First Congregational Church in South Portland, retiring in 2001. He had previously worked at Calderwood and Nissen Bakeries as a baker and also served in the Army National Guard.
Bob loved animals, especially his cats, Squeaker and Tuffy, and his dog, Rusty. He also enjoyed time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He loved to walk, pan for gold on the Swift River and work on his home. Bob was also an avid fan of the New England Patriots and the Boston Red Sox.
Bob was predeceased by an infant son, Robert William Ferrelli, Jr. in 1962; and a sister, Alice Lillian Clark. He is survived by his wife, Priscilla, of Portland; four daughters, Debra Ferrelli Boothby and her husband, Mark, of Scarborough, Doris L. Lee and her husband, Mike, of Wilkes Barre, Penn., Bobbi Dawn Ferrelli of Portland and Priscilla Lee Martell of Westbrook, a son, David J. Ferrelli, and his wife, Elizabeth, of Cumberland; two sisters, Mary Mahoney of Portsmouth, N.H., and Louise Ross, and her husband, Edward, of Falmouth and a brother, Harry Pinkham of Biddeford; eleven grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, March 14, 2012, at 2:00 p.m. at the Conroy-Tully Crawford Funeral Home, 172 State Street, Portland. Burial will take place on Chebeague Island in the Spring. On line condolences may be expressed at: www.ctcrawford.com.
