Benjamin Scot Prescott

scotCHICHESTER – Benjamin Scot Prescott, known to all as Scot, passed away on Tuesday, May 9, 2017, at his home in Chichester. He was surrounded by so many who loved him. Scot succumbed to cancer after a long battle at the age of 55.

Scot was the son of Benjamin Joseph and Patricia (Houghton) Prescott. He grew up in Bow and attended Bow and Concord High School, graduating with the Class of 1979.

The master of how things worked, he ran Haggett's Bike Shop in Manchester for many years. He was a motorcycle enthusiast, an artist, and he saw the beauty and possibility in everything around him. Many may recall the huge bittersweet dragon and bucking horse he displayed on his lawn at his home on Route 28 in Chichester. His sharp and discerning eye found treasures everywhere, and that included people. He was ever ready to share, help and love those in need of a hand, hug or favor.

In addition to his parents, Scot is survived by his wife, Dani (Fanny) Prescott; son, Benjamin Dylan Prescott; and his brother, Brent Prescott of Weare. He also leaves 18 cousins, aunts, grandchildren, and a large extended family, the Fanny's of Boscawen.

Calling Hours will be held on Friday, May 19, from 5 to 8 p.m. in the Still Oaks Funeral & Memorial Home, 1217 Suncook Valley Highway in Epsom. Burial will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy in Scot's memory may be sent to the CRVNA Hospice, 30 Pillsbury St., Concord, NH 03301. To share a memory or offer a condolence, please visit stilloaks.com.
