Patience L. Webb

Patience L. Webb, 56, of 9 New Boston Road, Amherst, died Monday, April 2, 2001, at her home.

Mrs. Webb was born May 5, 1944, in Greenport, N.Y., daughter of the late Nathaniel S. and Jacqueline E. (Cartier) Prime. She had been a resident of Milford and Amherst for the past 17 years, previously residing in Pepperell, Mass.

She was the wife of the Rev. Alexander H. Webb of Amherst, to whom she had been married for 10 years.

Mrs. Webb worked as an art teacher at Clark School in Amherst for nine years.

She was a member of the Amherst Garden Club and the Groton (Mass.) Center for the Arts.

Mrs. Webb was a member of the Church of Our Saviour in Milford. She was active in the church fairs and she was a member of the Community Bible Study.

Besides her husband, survivors include two sisters, Mary Gardiner Peet of Shelter Island, N.Y., and Laurette De Toussard Prime of St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands; a stepson, Alexander H. Webb II of Northborough, Mass.; three nieces, two nephews, two great-nieces and six great nephews.

The Smith and Heald Funeral Home in Milford is in charge of arrangements.

SMITH & HEALD FUNERAL HOME, 63 Elm Street, Milford, NH.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2:00 p, in Christ
Church, 569 Main Street, Fitchburg, MA. Burial will be in
Meadowview Cemetery, Amherst, NH, at a later date. In
lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to
Church of Our Saviour, P.O. Box 237, Milford, NH 03055 or
to the Patience L'Hommedieu Webb Memorial Art Award,
White Pines College, 40 Chester Street, Chester, NH 03036.
