Jane Storey Abrahamson CHEBEAGUE ISLAND -- Jane Storey Abrahamson of Chebeague Island passed peacefully after a brief illness. This strong supportive mother and community woman was born in Worcester, Mass., and received a B.S. from U. Mass. Amherst

While raising three children with her late husband Ernie, they lived in Waltham, Mass., and Chebeague Island. Jane was a 'team' player in work, family and community organizations. Whether it was the P.T.A., Girl Scouts, Ladies Aide, Grange, the C.I.H.C., or others, she was giving back. Ultimately her greatest legacy is her family which she loved.

She is survived by three children, Dirk, Ernie (B.J.), and Kirsten Storey Volger and her husband Mark Volger; four grandchildren, Daniele, Carleigh, Josh and Colton; Karen Virtue; Dean Storey (brother); Rita Grandeganette (sister-in-law); two nieces; three grandnieces and one grandnephew; extended family and all the caring friends. A celebration of her life will be held at The Chebeague Island Methods Church, Chebeague Island, at 1 p.m., Saturday, May 9th
