Edith Wallace, a longtime visitor to Chebeague, died August 29 at the Cedars in Portland. She was born in 1920 in Vermont and graduated from Green Mountain College.
She has resided at Applegate in Falmouth Foreside for most of the past decade. She continued her contacts to Chebeague through her nieces, nephew and friends, Pat Prescott, Linda Watkins, Wink Houghton and the Soucheks.
She is survived by her two sons, Steven and Norman Wallace, and several grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband William (Bill) Wallace and their daughter, Jeanie.
A graveside service will be held at a later date in Walpole, NH.
Edith loved Chebeague and world travel. We know she is off on the grandest tour.
