Anne met Harper on a blind date and they spent 49 happy and busy years together. Anne loved music, especially the piano and handbells. She majored in music at Randolph Macon Woman’s College, taught piano, raised four daughters and was a very dedicated volunteer and Board member of the Lake Forest Symphony. She enjoyed athletic competitions. Basketball, field hockey and golf were favorites in her youth and paddle tennis, tennis and golf were enjoyed throughout her active life. She was an avid Chicago Bulls fan. A very outgoing person, Anne was always looking out for others, connecting many newcomers to church, symphony, and other activities. Anne was happy anytime she could see the moon, pansy flowers, eat chocolate, spend time with her daughters or grandchildren or wear purple. Summers on Chebeague Island, Maine were always very special, enjoying lobster, salt water, salty air, and connecting with extended family.

The family is deeply appreciative of the love and care given to Anne by her caregivers and all the staff at Lake Forest Place.

A private celebration of life will be held.
