Floyd R. Bradish

Floyd R. Bradish, 91, of South Carolina and former longtime resident of Enfield, died on Friday, Aug. 8, 2008.

Born August 30, 1916 in Perkinsville, Vt., Floyd was the son of the late Dwight E. and Minerva (Hemenway) Bradish. He was a former member of the Hazardville United Methodist Church, the Doric Lodge No. 94 AF&AM in Enfield, Connecticut Valley Consistory in Springfield, Mass., and Sphinx Temple in Hartford. Mr. Bradish retired in 1977 as traffic manager with the former Bigelow-Sanford Co.

A loving husband, father, stepfather, grandfather, and great-grandfather, Floyd is survived by his wife, Ruth (Paul) Bradish; a daughter, Jane Flammang of Encinitas, Calif.; a son, John H. Bradish of Rolesville, N.C.; three step-daughters, Kathleen Benson, Sherrilyn Peck, and Dianne Koscianski; four grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his first wife, Lois (Hilditch) Bradish.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, Aug. 14, 2008, at 1 p.m. at Leete-Stevens Enfield Chapels, 61 South Road, Enfield, CT 06082. A private burial will be held at the convenience of the family.
