Elizabeth (Betsy) Waller Bilodeau

BILODEAU, ELIZABETH (BETSY) WALLER of North Dighton MA, died on June 17, 2015. Surrounded by her family, she peacefully passed away in her home.

betsyElizabeth was born September 5, 1955 and was the daughter of the late Carolyn Adams Waller Bradley and the late Rowell L. Waller of Seekonk, MA. She is survived by her two daughters, Alison Waller Bilodeau Medeiros, wife of Kraig Medeiros, of North Dighton, MA and Kristin Elizabeth Bilodeau Bagnell, wife of James Bagnell, of North Dighton, MA. Betsy is the grandmother of her four cherished grandchildren; Alec Bilodeau, Cole Bilodeau, Elizabeth Bagnell and James Bagnell. Elizabeth is survived by her sister, Susan Waller, of Swansea, MA. She is also survived by her ex-husband, Dennis Bilodeau, of Somerset, MA.

Betsy was a member of the Seekonk Congregational Church. She graduated from Providence College, cum laude, in 1977 and received her Master's degree in Social Work in 1998. Employed by Women & Infants Hospital since 1998, Betsy worked as a clinical social worker in the Project Link Program.

Elizabeth summered with her family in Chebeague Island, Maine and Briggs Beach, Little Compton, RI.

She was an accomplished poet and photographer that appreciated the small details of nature and the art of brilliantly stringing words together. Her daughters will most remember their mom's unfaltering love and continual support that they were showered with throughout their lives. Forged in their hearts, Betsy's grandchildren will forever cherish countless memories of vacations, cruises, and fun times where she indulged them richly.

There will be a memorial service held at Seekonk Congregational Church, 600 Fall River Ave., Seekonk, MA at 2:00 pm on Sunday, June 21, 2015.

In lieu of flowers it is requested that donations be made to The Oncology Research Fund, The Miriam Hospital, P.O. Box H, Providence, RI 02901.
