Parker Keith

parkerParker Beverage Keith, 80 of Freeport, Maine passed away Sunday March 21, 2021. He was born in Brunswick, Maine on February 7, 1941, a son of Verne Keith, Sr and Ruth Beverage Keith. He grew up in Pownal Maine, graduating from Greeley High School in 1959. From there he bravely defended our country while serving in the United States Air Force as an airplane mechanic for 4 years, 1 month, 29 days, receiving many decorations, medals and badges of honor.

He met his wife Linda while working at a gas station in Yarmouth, Maine. They married in 1964, move to Louisiana and Sault Sainte Marie, Michigan at which time he was discharged from the service. They lived in Freeport 50 years raising two children, Timothy Keith Sr. and Sonya Keith Soule. He worked in various jobs leading up to owning his own excavation business for nearly 25 years and then retired to spend time with his family.

Parker enjoyed snowmobiling, fishing, hunting, spending winters in Florida and summers on Little John Island.parker He was predeceased by his father, Verne Keith Sr., his mother Ruth Beverage Keith Doherty and brother Stephen P. Keith. Parker is survived by his wife Linda Baker Keith, son Timothy Robert Keith Sr and his wife Crystal, and daughter Sonya Keith Soule and her husband John. He also has 3 grandsons, Timothy Robert Keith Jr., Andrew Parker Keith, and Noah Joseph Keith. He has 2 step grandchildren, Alyssa Lauren Amari and Anthony Stephen Amari. He has a brother Verne Keith Jr. and sister Randa Keith Frye.

The visitation will be held at Lindquist Funeral Home on March 27th from 11:00-1:00 located at 1 Mayberry Lane in Yarmouth, Maine. The memorial service will immediately follow the visiting hours.


Parker, Chuck Soule, and Parker's dog Fritz (which dog had originally been given to Parker by Dr. Lindy) were "regular workers" on Chebeague in the 80's and longer. At one point, Parker was actually an employee of Jimmy Stewart's.  Parker did a lot of excavation for Chebeague building projects.
