Budget Vote Meeting Guide

In response to community feedback, the MSAD 51 Board of Directors has taken a number of steps to improve the Budget Vote Meeting.  Those improvements include designated senior citizen and handicap parking at Greely High School, overflow parking and transportation from Mabel I. Wilson and Greely Middle Schools, expanded registration hours, reserved senior citizens and handicap seating, an increased number of registration and ballot clerks and efficient conduct of the meeting to allow completion by 9pm, if possible.

Parking will be available behind the high school cafeteria and pool.  Once that area is full, please use the parking lots at Mabel Wilson and Greely Middle Schools located on Tuttle Road.  You may walk up to Greely High School on the paths behind the schools or take a bus which will start trips to the high school at 5:30pm.

An extra ferry to Chebeague Island will run immediately after the meeting adjourns.

Registration

Registration will begin at 5:45pm (Feel free to bring a sandwich or picnic dinner to eat while waiting for the meeting to begin).

North Yarmouth voters will register at tables in the entrance hallway of Greely High School.

Cumberland voters will register at tables in the Greely High School cafeteria.

You must be a registered voter. Please register at your town hall as far in advance as possible if you are new voter.

Voters must be at the meeting to vote.

Voting

Voting on most warrant items will be by a show of hands.  Some warrant articles will require voting by paper ballot.  In that case, ballot boxes will be available in the gym and supervised by the ballot clerks.
