Warren Bogle, Baseball, 1966-1967
Warren was the first Miami player drafted in the Major League
Baseball draft. At UM, he led the team in victories and innings
pitched both years, and struck out 242 batters in 191 innings
for an average of 11.4 K's per game, which still stands as the
school record. His 17 strikeouts against Rollins in 1966 ranks
5th and the 15 complete games in his career is still currently
6th in school history. Warren also hit for a .329 career average
and .523 slugging percentage, both figures still in the school's
Top 10 for batters with less than 300 AB's. He made his MLB debut
with the Oakland Athletics on July 31, 1968. Played for Coach
