LATIN AMERICA
Over the next month you will be touring your country via your research and then writing three or four letters to your penpal classmate. Each letter will address different components of your country's culture.
Letter # 1: physical geography & climate
Letter # 2: cultural geography *
Letter # 3: history
Letter # 4: economy (extra credit)
*includes: education, transportation, technology, beliefs and
traditions, arts and recreation, rules and regulations
One copy of each letter will be given to your penpal and a second copy to your teacher. Your letters will then be assessed by both your penpal and your teacher for informational content, voice and grammatical structure.
You need to keep notes while you research each letter. Keep
these notes in your classwork folder in your desk. Keep these
notes organized and neat, your life will be easier
and your final product will be better. Also, keep a detailed list
of the references you use so you can hand in a bibliography at
the conclusion of the project. There is a BIBLIOGRAPHY form sheet
