Vanessa Recommends

I recommend Whatever Happened to Janie?, by Caroline B. Cooney.

This is a book for people who like books that you can't stop reading until it's over.

I suggest you read it because you can't put it down. The book is exciting but sad at the same time. If you read this book, you'll have to read the sequel.

A part of the book that shows this is in the middle of the book. It gets sad ad exciting at the same time.

I think the reason the author wrote this book was because she wanted to tell Jamie's story. Cooney also wants to tell what could happen if you lose your temper.

Here are a couple of sentences from this book that demonstrates the author's style of writing: "She looked into his hug as if looking into the front door of a new house. And stepped in, and let him hold her, and became his daughter."

On a scale from 1 to 5 (5 being the best) this book rates 5.

Three words that best describe this book are: spellbinding, exciting, sad
