I recommend Rowan Hood: Outlaw Girl of Sherwood Forest by Nancy Springer. This is a book for people who like adventure action and survival. It is also for people who like books set in the middle ages and are familiar with the Robin Hood legend. I suggest you read this book because it is a great sequel to Robin Hood. It has a great plot to it and it is never boring to read. It is about a 13 year girl who has to pretend she is a boy and joins a band of outlaws in Sherwood Forest. She has to be very brave. A part of the book that shows this is when Rowan's pet wolf, Tykell, attacks the scout who was trying to steal her bow and arrow. I think the reason the author wrote this book was because she wanted to write a good robin Hood-type book on what would happen if Robin Hood had a daughter. I would rate this book a 4+ on a 1 to 5 scale. Three words that best describe the book are: adventure, survival, action |
