Nick Recommends:

I recommend Time Cat by Lloyd Alexander.

This book is for people who love cats. It's a good time travel book and is also for fantasy readers.

I think you should read this book because the cat, Gareth, can talk but only to Jason (the boy). The book takes you through a whirl of adventures like Egypt 2700 BC, Ireland and seven others. It's a 9 live tour of Gareth's fantastic life, and that's just the start.

A part of the book that shows this is the first great adventure.

I think the author wrote this book because he wanted to show the history of the cat.

The author creates colorful, powerful images that he prints in your head. For example the author writes, "Gareth was a black cat with orange eyes. Some times when he hunched his shoulders and put down his ears, he looked like an owl. When he stretched, he looked like a trickle of oil or a pair of silk pajamas. When he sat on a window ledge, with his eyes half shut and his tail curled around him, he looked like secret."

On a scale of one to five (five being the best) I give it a 5.

This book is fantastic, exciting and fun.
