Erik Recommends:

I recommend The Long Patrol by Brian Jacques to all the young readers out there.

This is a book for readers who want a great adventure and an action story. If you like riddles this book will appeal to you.

I suggest you read The Long Patrol because it is a story of animals doing human like stuff. In the end there is a big battle. Throughout the story there are fun riddles and the story is very descriptive.

A part of this story that shows this is when Tammo, the main character, was surrounded by evil stoats, ferrets, weasels, and foxes and he had to get out. His friend made a gap in the ranks and sacrificed himself for Tommo's freedom.

I think the reason the author wrote this book was to teach kids morals at the Liverpool Academy for the blind. Actually, I know that because Brian Jacques is my favorite author and I've read a lot about him.

One interesting sentence from this book that demonstrates the author's style is, "I can guess what he will say. . Stap me whiskers, if it ain't young Tammo. Sit down, I can't feel a moral coming up," Tammo mocked.

On a scale from 1-5 (5 being among the best books I have ever read), this book rates a 6.
Three words that best describe the book are:
Funny
Action Packed
Adventurous
