Courtney Recommends:

I recommend Lake of Secrets by Lael Littke.

This is a book for people who like mysteries and reading on because it is exciting.

I suggest you read it because it makes you want to read more because of the problem: Carlene and her mom are looking for her brother, Luke.

A part of this book that shows this is when Carlene realizes she knows how Luke was lost. She has acquired a woman's memory who tried to save Luke and died.

I think the reason the author wrote this book was to get the point across that you should never give up and families are forever. (Carlene and her mother go back to their home town where their friends are)

One interesting sentence from this book that demonstrates the author's style of writing is: "After watching The Lion King for probably 100 times, we all realized that families are forever."

On a scale from 1-5 (5 being the highest) I would rate this book a 4.

Three words to describe this book would be: Intriguing, mysterious, caring
