Ben Recommends:

I recommend Ruby Holler by Sharon Creech.

This book is for kids and adults that want a good book filled with humor, cookies, and a good treasure hunt.

I suggest you read this book because the writer shows the feeling of all the people in it. She also uses lots of humor and seriousness.

A part of the book that shows this is in the beginning of the book when Florida was caught hanging out the window and Mr. Trepid made her pull weeds. She says "Dang pulling weeds this whole dang putrid place is a weed!"

I think the author wrote this book to show that even if you haven't been loved before that there always will be someone to love you if you look hard!

One interesting sentence from the book that demonstrates how the author writes, is in the middle of the book. "As the goo oozed lowly downward, she grabbed her pillow and flung it at the goo, and then she snatched the pillows from the other beds and threw them one by one. 'Putrid egg, she said."

On a scale of one to five I would rate this book a four and half.

Three words that best describe this book are mysterious, beautiful, and majestic.
