Helen L. Slowik

 

SOUTH PORTLAND - Helen L. Slowik, 41 of Pillsbury Street died Monday at a Portland hospital after a brief illness.

She was born in Portland, a daughter of John and Ruth Mansfield Slowik, and was a 1974 graduate of Greely high School.

Miss Slowik worked for more than 23 years for Canteen Service Corp., most recently as office manager. She enjoyed knitting and crafts, dancing, spending time with friends and her free time on Chebeague Island. She was a member of the Chebeague Island United Methodist Church.

Surviving are her mother and a sister, Diane Brewer, both of Chebeague Island; a brother, Steve Slowik of Hudson; and two nieces, Sally Brewer of Earlysville, Va., and Pam Brewer of Chebeague Island.

Visiting hours will be held 7-9 p.m. Friday at Lindquist Funeral Home, Yarmouth. A funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at Chebeague Island United Methodist Church. Burial will Follow in Chebeague Island Cemetery.
