Edward W. MacCormack
attended Chebeague Island school

RYE, N.H. - Edward W. MacCormack, 77, of Washington Road, widower of Carolyn Wood MacCormack, died Thursday at Exeter Hospital in Exeter.

Born in Brooklawn, N.J., he was a son of Daniel and Nettie Woodsum MacCormack and was a graduate of Chebeague Island (Maine) High School, as well as the Wentworth Institute and Tufts University, both in Massachusetts.

During World War II he served in the Navy.

Mr. MacCormack worked for High Voltage Engineering in Burlington, Mass., for 25 years. He then worked for Moore Business Forms in Dover, retiring after more than 10 years of service.

He was a member of the North Hampton United Church of Christ and the William Parkman Masonic Lodge in Massachusetts.

Surviving are a son, Rodney E. of Rye, N.H.; two daughters, Pamela M. Hamsley of Rye, N.H., and Karen M. Stitham of Andover, Mass.; a brother, Richard A. of Chebeague Island, Maine; four grandchildren and a great-grandson.

There will be no visiting hours. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the North Hampton United Church of Christ, summer chapel, Atlantic Avenue, North Hampton, N.H. Arrangements are by Wilson-Cooper Funeral Home, Kittery, Maine.
