ruth4/25/13 - Ruth Hamilton Britting, 88, died at home in Gorham. She is the mother of Stephen Hamilton and Susan and Sharon Britting. A graveside service is planned for Wednesday, 11am.

The children of Ruth Hamilton Britting would like to thank the residents of Chebeague Island for those of you that attended the service and for all the kind cards and phone calls received after the passing of our mom. A special thanks to Bev Johnson for all of her help with arranging transportation for the family and posting the announcement and picture on Chebeague Island news.

We would also like to thank Joan Robinson with not only assisting with transportation, but also for providing refreshments and sharing her warm memories of the Hamilton family following the service.

A thank you to the residents and staff of the very warm and cozy Chebeague Island commons for opening their home to us and making us feel so welcome when we went to visit our mom's life long best friend Victoria Bowen Smith.

Also, I would like to include a thank you to your minister Mary Jane. Her warmth and compassion truly made the service memorable. Chebeague Island is truly lucky to have her.

Sincerely,

Ruth Hamilton Britting's children......Steve, Susan and Sharon
