Ralph Emerson McLean, 96 years, of Cumberland Foreside, died December 26 at Island Commons. He is survived by Beverly, his wife of 73 years; son Daniel (Phyllis; grandson David); daughter Sam; and grandchildren Sasha (Matt) and Cyrus. Ralph loved the island and the community here, and his family is grateful for the warm welcome he was given. There will be a remembrance celebration in the spring. More importantly, spend time with those you love--96 years on this Earth may sound like a lot, but it will never be enough for those who loved him.
