Mark Doughty

 

YARMOUTH - Mark Doughty, 33, of Rand Road was lost at sea Aug. 5, 2001, in the sinking of the fishing vessel Starbound.

He was born in Portland, a son of Robert C. and Shirley L. Horr Doughty, grew up on Chebeague Island and graduated from Greely High School, Cumberland, in 1986.

He was very generous, and could light up a room with his smile and his eyes, family members said.

Surviving are his wife, Carol Eells Doughty of Yarmouth; two daughters, Amanda and Jessica, both of Yarmouth; his parents, Robert C. of Sebasco in Phippsburg and Shirley Doughty Horr of Portland; a sister, Sharon Brown of Pittsburgh; and three brothers, Robert of Hollis, Bruce of Chelsea and Brian of West Point in Phippsburg.

Visiting hours will be 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Lindquist Funeral Home, 1 Mayberry Lane. A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday in Riverside Cemetery.
