After retirement in 2005 he continued to find ways to serve and be connected with his community by volunteering at the Nashua Soup kitchen and singing in the Concord Chorale as well as his church choir.

In addition to family and work, Chris enjoyed hiking, biking, kayaking, sailing, reading and his family's summer property on Chebeague Island (where he could do all of these things). Chris was also an active member of The Church of the Good Shepherd for 36 years.
