Cheryl L. “Cheri” (Jenkins) Dudley

cherylCheryl L. “Cheri” (Jenkins) Dudley, 78, of Salem, NH passed away on Saturday, Oct. 28th at High Pointe Hospice House in Haverhill, MA.

She was born in Washington, DC and grew up on many different military bases around the world. Cheri was the daughter of the late Alberta (Nielsen) and David Jenkins.  She lived in Maine for 50 years before settling in Salem for the last 9 years. Cheri was dedicated to the service of others. She worked as a nurse and a respiratory therapist and she was proud of her degrees as an RN, BSN, RT. Cheri worked at Maine Medical Center. She enjoyed baking, making jam, and sewing, but most of all being with her family. 

Cheri is survived by her beloved children, Trish and husband Bob Ackermann of Blairsville, GA, Robert Dudley and former wife Marie of Farmington, CT, Dena and husband John Parker of Cape Cod, MA, John Flint of Chebeague Island, ME and John Dudley and wife Jeyashree of Dover Foxcroft, ME; her brother, David Jenkins Jr. and wife Leena of Helsinki, Finland; her 9 grandchildren, Heather Flint, Linda Dudley, Ashley Flint, Miranda and husband Dan Varnum, Colby Dudley, Elise Dudley, Lauren Ackermann, David Ackermann and Alex Parker; her 5 great grandchildren, Govani, Westley, Milan, James and William; her nieces Cherie Jenkins and Andrea Dudley and nephew Nick Dudley.

She was predeceased by her loving husband of 34 years, William “Bill” Dudley.

Visitation will be Saturday, November 11th from 12:30 PM-1:30 PM followed by a funeral service at 1:30 PM at Douglas & Johnson Funeral Home, 214 Main St., Salem, NH.  In lieu of flowers, donations in Cheri’s name may be made to:  Homeland Heroes Foundation, 10 Delaware Dr. #1 Salem, NH 03079.
