Henry Dobush, 87, passed away in Florida, Saturday, February 20, 2016. He was born July 15, 1928 in Willimantic, CT, the son of Mary and Dymtro Dobush.

Henry served in the Army during the Korean War, a proud member of the 179th Regiment 45th Division. Henry had a long career working for the United States Post Office in the Windham area until his retirement, and enjoyed his island home in Maine, during the summers. He was a lifelong member of the Willimantic Elks, and was a proud member of the Pulaski Citizens Club of Willimantic, serving as its treasurer for many years. He will be remembered for his gentle voice and kind smile.

He was pre-deceased by his daughter, Anne Marie Chaplin in 2001, and his brothers Stanley and Walter Dobush. Henry is survived by his wife of 63 years Patricia, daughter, Pam, and her husband, Bruce Bousquet. He leaves sisters, Antonia Piasecki and Janet Dobush; and brother John Dobush. Henry also leaves several nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

Calling hours will be Thursday, February 25, 2016 from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at Potter Funeral Home, 456 Jackson St. (Rte 195) Willimatic, CT. A graveside service will be held Friday, February 26, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. at the New Willimantic Cemetery, on Rte. 32 at Rte. 6.
