Joann Bryan (Shuttleworth), age 77, of DeFuniak Springs, Florida went home to be with the Lord on June 4, 2023. She is preceded in death by her parents, William and Ruth Ann Shuttleworth; brother, William Shuttleworth; sister-in-law, Hilda Davis; nephew, Andrew "Frankie" Bryan; and the love of her life, Olin D. Bryan.
Joann is survived by her children, Doug Bryan (Christine) and LaDawn Marse (Brad) of DeFuniak Springs; her brothers-in-law, Dewight Bryan (Sarah) and James "Orville" Bryan; her life-long best friend, Debbie Webb; six grandkids; nine great-grandkids; and numerous special nieces and nephews.
Memorialization will be by cremation.
The family would like to give a special thanks and appreciation to all the staff and caregivers of Chautauqua Nursing Home for their kindness and compassion while Joann was there, and also to Gentiva Hospice for stepping in to carry the burden of care so we could focus on loving Joann. Words cannot describe what a huge source of comfort they were during her last days with us.
