Bruce “PopPop” Bousquet

Bruce “PopPop” Bousquet peacefully left us on February 4, 2023, surrounded by family. 

Bruce grew up in the Bridgeport CT area. He graduated from Central High School. He enjoyed band in high school as well as playing with Connecticut Hurricanes. Bruce never lost his love of music, especially brass and horns. He enjoyed going to concerts again these last few years. He was a restaurant manager most of his life. 

Bruce loved his family, especially his grandkids. He loved taking them to Chebeague Island ME where kids could be kids and explore the beach, rocks, and woods while he got to sit on the beach listening to the waves or on the porch quietly hearing nature all around him. Lobster dinners on the porch were his favorite. 

Bruce was fascinated by technology and loved his ‘gadgets’. He was a collector of innovative robotics for the home. He was an avid learner of ancient Egypt, and outer space. 

Bruce was a true romantic, and an excellent gift giver. 

He left us suddenly, leaving us broken hearted. His chair is empty and waiting for him. We miss you more everyday….
