Town of Chebeague Island, Maine

Maine’s newest town is currently accepting applications for anticipated full time and part time positions.  The Town of Chebeague Island includes more than a dozen Casco Bay islands and anticipates a $2,000,000 budget, and will have a Town Meeting/Selectman from of government. The seat of government is located on Great Chebeague Island, which is served by year-round ferries from Portland and Cousins Island.  The population ranges from 350 in the winter to 1500 – 2000 in the summer. Employment will commence on July 2, 2007. Some positions may require training prior to July 1.  Competitive salaries are commensurate with education and experience.  Applications should be received by March 10, but the searches may be extended until suitable candidates are found.
