Scenic Waterfalls:

• Old Roll Dam - West Branch Penobscot River - Seboomook

This waterfall has two drops and a portage.

• Moxie Falls - Moxie Stream - Moxie Gore

This is one of the tallest falls in Maine. Moxie Falls is a wooded area.

Parks and Recreation Areas:

• Swan Lake State Park - Swanville

You can swim at this new state park. There are toilets and limited parking.

Unique Natural Areas:

• Kennebec River Gorge

It is a white water rafting river. The depth is 80 yards. Do not go canoeing in it because it is really dangerous. You will get there by logging roads.

Canoe Trips:

• Kennebec River - The Forks to Caratunk

This river is good for beginners. It has a strong current. It is a white water Padel. You can go all season and is nine miles long.

• St. John river - Baker Lake to Allagash Village

This river is 110 miles long. It is a strong river with I - II class rapids nearly 3 rapids.

• Penobscot River - West Branch, Old Roll Dam to lower end of Chesuncook Lake

This trip is 42 miles long with quick water and flat water.

Downhill Skiing:

• Eaton Mountain - Skowhegan

Eaton Mountain has 622 vertical drop. There are 18 trails on Eaton Mountain.
