FURTLE

I was walking through the mojaive desert, and I saw something that looked like a turtle, but it had three humps, two wings, and six legs. It was digging a hole in the ground, and flapping its wings.
It was two feet wide, and six inches high. The shell was light brown, with stripes. The shell is hard. It hides in its shell, if there's a storm or if an animal is trying to attack it. The wings came out one foot. They were clear. The neck, head, and feet were gray.
The wings are silky, when the furtle doesn't make the sticky stuff which is called, Holpia. The furtle can fly up to 36 miles per hour. The wings are also used as a net. It catches its prey, and the prey gets stuck on the sticky stuff that's in the wings. The wings are also used as a fan. It fans itself while its hunting out in the hot sun. It usually spends its day in its hole, and hunts at night. It uses its wings to keep its home cool.
It has six legs to run away from predators. A lot of animals like to eat furtles, like turkey vultures, and snakes. The humps carry food and water, just in case those things aren't around.
It eats insects, like spiders, and hornets, and it eats scorpions, and other things like that. It eats a lot of plants like cactus. The furtle has little claws. They are between light orange and dark brown.
It uses it's little claws to pick the prickers off and eats them. The prickers give the furtle energy. The furtles claws are very small, but they are very sharp.
I was really happy to discover a new species of a reptile. When I came upon this animal, it didn't mind me, it just kept on digging. Because I discovered this animal, I was able to name it. I named it furtle for flying turtle.
