As part of their unit on Immigration, the first - fifth grade students went on a field trip to the Falmouth Middle School, on Thursday, February 10, 2011 to watch a naturalization ceremony. They watched as 33 immigrants became American citizens. A reporter from the Portland Press Herald was there and interviewed the teachers. The article is titled, This is My Country Now. It's Yarmouth!

At their meeting on February 16, 2010, the School Committee voted not to renew the contract with MSAD#51 when the current tuition contract ends in 2014. They voted instead to make the Yarmouth School Department our new partner in educating Chebeague Island's middle and high school students. In February 2010, we lost a member of the Chebeague Island School family. Ann Long passed away. We miss her every day. For more information click here.
