It's Yarmouth!

At their meeting on February 16, the School Committee voted not to renew the contract with MSAD#51 when the current tuition contract ends in 2014. They voted instead to make the Yarmouth School Department our new partner in educating Chebeague Island's middle and high school students. Welcome

The Chebeague Island School serves all the students and community of Chebeague Island. The Town of Chebeague Island was established July 1, 2007 and at that time a School Committee was elected. The School Committee is responsible for the education of students from pre school through high school and beyond. The island has one school house which has classes from pre-k through fifth grade. Sixth graders through 12 graders now travel to Greely Middle and Greely High through a contract with MSAD51.

The Chebeague Island School was WCSH's School That Shines for the month of May. You can still view the little clip featuring the school on WCSH's website- just click on this link Schools That Shine.
