NOTES

A million thanks to our friends for all the cards (even computer generated and or hand painted), good wishes, and food received following my total hip replacement surgery. These mementoes almost make the surgery worthwhile. Recovery is progressing fabulously and it is great to see all your smiling faces again while I'm out walking and exercising. Don Souchek

My sincere thanks to Ed and Julie who took a chance and hired me over 2 years ago. Also, thanks to al my friends, neighbors, and the daily workers who have made my job so much fun. I am leaving the store in September. My hips and feet have told me that I have to quit. I am going to miss you all terribly. Gill Ratcliffe

The John Layng family would like to thank the Chebeague Island Rescue, particularly Marlene, Ralph and Jill, and the CTC crew for the expert care and attention they provided Sarah during her recent accident. Fortunately, she's fine. We were so impressed by the speed and professionalixm of the rescue team. How lucky we are to have such a valuable service ont heis Island! And we also want to thank Med, Dave Campbell and the wrecking crew for "rescuing" the rescue vehicle from our ditch!

A Note from the Director of "Anything Goes" -
I just wanted to thank everyone who came to see Anything Goes. You helped to make our performances great! I would also like to thank Peggie Jones and the Quilters for their assistance with the Hall. If cast members are missing costumes, etc., check the box at the Rec Center.
Have a great winter! Thanks again, Stacy Stewart

Congraluations to the volunteers who improved the woods on the 9th hole at Great Chebeague Golf Club - David and Ann Trower, Sky and Linda Grant, Jim and Jean Knowlton, Chuck Hilly, Will and Nacy Sharp, Mal and Sandy Rice, Bob and Jane Morin and Tom Willette. They didn't find Jimmy Hoffa, Osama Bin Laden, or WMD but they really improved the course.

Did anybody find my 8 iron Proselect golf club on the golf course around August 15th? Please check your golf bags. Thanks. Chuck Butters

We thank all Chebeagueres who joined in the festivities associated with our 50th wedding anniversary celebration on July 27th. We owe special thans to all those who worked with our children, their spouses and many grandchildren to make the day so special and unforgettable. Kitty and Dick Freeman

CAN YOU SING AGAIN AT CHRISTMASS!!!???? call 846-4078

The Whalers are already looking at some music for a Christmas Concert similar to the one we did last year. This time there will be a little more "popular" music, but still some Christmas Carols included. We were pleased to have so many join us last year and invite you all to do so again. New singing voices are always welcome, and there will be some "speaking parts" too. Nothing is definite yet, but please let me know if you can be available for practices in October, and November and a performance probably the first weekend in December so that I may know how many voices and what parts to plan on before I purchse the music. Thanks MOH
