Dear Chebeague customers:


Recently some of you have experienced difficulties with your internet service.  We wanted to write and let you know that we are aware of the situation and are working diligently to correct the issues.  Because of the nature of the system that delivers your service, it can be difficult to pinpoint where the issues might be. Not all of you have been affected, but the numbers are such that we felt obligated to acknowledge the situation.


As Axiom has taken over the service, demands on the system have increased.  Evening use is often 50% beyond the usage in 2015.  We suspect that the increased demand may be putting strain on various parts of the delivery system and over the past two nights have been working with the system to alleviate problems.  This work is expected to continue, until the system is operating at optimum levels. 


If you experience ongoing issues, we would appreciate you calling us to discuss.  Our technical team is aware of the ongoing situation and can try to help you troubleshoot and discuss next steps.  It also gives us a chance to update your account and create a ticket for service.  Never hesitate to contact us at 255-0679. 


As an additional acknowledgement of the situation, Axiom is giving customers with ongoing issues credits toward their next bill.  Not all issues fit this criteria, but again, if you are having ongoing issues, please contact us and we will be happy to give you some credit on your next bill if they are related to this situation.


Beyond the current situation, we are beginning to work internally on potential upgrades and will be excited to share with you in the coming months.  We will keep everyone informed as these plans begin to take shape.
