Hello from your local Town Office!

Here are this week's tidbits:

The mailing address is Town of Chebeague Island, P.O. Box 22,  192 North Road, Chebeague Island, Maine 04017. The deadline is Monday, July 23.

July 25-07 Special Meeting of the Board of Selectman:  The Board of Selectman have set aside this date to meet with Town of Cumberland officials for the purpose of deciding the appropriate mill rate on real estate property.
NOTE:  Location of meeting will be at the Chebeague Island Recreation Center @ 7:00 pm
(People are encouraged to bring their own chairs!)

REMINDER FOR VEHICLE REGISTRATIONS: We are able to register both the island cars
and mainland cars at this time.  If you have a new registration or a transfer of registration,
please come into the office on Thursdays from 1-4pm and see Cheryl Buxbaum.  All other
re-registrations can be done at anytime that the office is open.

AUGUST SHELLFISH LICENSES:  Will be available on a first-come first-serve basis starting

Thursday, August 2, from 12 pm to 8 pm.
MOORING LICENSES:  The Town of Cumberland will issue these licenses until 12-31-07.

BOAT REGISTRATIONS:  The Town of North Yarmouth will process your boat registrations. However, you must come first to the Chebeague Town office to pay your excise taxes.
This is a temporary agreement until our staff is trained by the state for boat registrations.

FISHING/HUNTING LICENSES:  We cannot process these licenses either until office staff
have been properly trained and received the appropriate designation from Inland Fisheries
and Wildlife.
