REMINDER #1: October 9, 2007 Deadline for Interest In Serving on Cemetery, Comprehensive Plan or Finance Committees

 

REMINDER #2: Town Office Closed on Monday, October 8 , 2007: The town offices are closed due to the Columbus Day Holiday.

 

Interest Charge to Delinquent Tax Bills: Please keep in mind that starting on Tuesday October 2^nd any unpaid tax bills will be assessed a 12% annual interest late charge fee.

 

Minor Changes at the Transfer Station: You may have noticed that we have relocated the Chedemption operation adjacent to the entry gate. Part of this move was for pedestrian safety due to increased traffic in a tight space. In addition, all parties agreed that it made sense for the trailer to remain along with the operation. We have also relocated the inactive port a potty to make room for more vehicle parking straight ahead as you drive through the main gate. Be on the look – out for a notice on the change to non seasonal hours!

 

Public Works Crew Road Work: Our capable team of Dave Campbell and Tommy Calder are going around the island doing a fair amount of ditching and shouldering to alleviate water and ice build up on our roads this winter. If you have a particular area that is of concern please feel free to call Ron Grenier with any suggestion.
