Prune, Picnic and Plan on Little Chebeague

 

The Maine Island Trail Association invites you to help with the restoration of

 Little Chebeague Island State Park

 

Help free trees from invasive bittersweet, enjoy the reopened trails and fields, a beach picnic and conversation about future stewardship of Little Chebeague

 

Special Guest: Eliza Townsend, Maine Commissioner of Conservation

 

When: Wednesday, August 18th from 10 a.m.- 3 p.m.; come for all or part of the day

 

Where: Little Chebeague Island

 

Who: All ages are welcome- we need all the help we can get!

 

What to bring: hand pruners and small pruning saws (we can provide tools if you need them), a picnic lunch and ideas for the future of Little Chebeague

 

How to get to Little Chebeague: Tide will be low midday so you can walk from Great Chebeague, MITA will provide a boat shuttle from Cleaves Landing to Little Chebeague
